Justin Lester

Justin Lester is the former Mayor of Wellington, New Zealand, where he led major programmes in housing, climate action, and urban and environmental regeneration.

Justin bolstered the revitalisation of indigenous Māori and supported the reintroduction of the locally extinct Kiwi back into Wellington. As an experienced entrepreneur, Justin boosted Wellington's reputation as a global creative and tech hub.

Now working in AI and data innovation, Justin advises cities and developers on sustainable growth, and public–private partnerships. Justin has an LLM from Heidelberg University in Germany.
